Inspiring TED talk - How leaders inspire action

Through my London based friend Giedrius Ivanauskas’s inspiring facebook page Inspirisimo, I just saw one of the most inspiring TED talk’s I have seen in a while.

The speaker Simon Sinek is speaking about - How leaders and companies inspire action through a model he call the Golden Circle.

Basically the Golden Circle is three circles - the outer circle is WHAT, the middle circle is HOW and the inner circle is WHY. A lot of leaders and companies goes from out and in - explaining WHAT they do, HOW they do it and in the end maybe WHY they do it.

Simon’s research shows that truly inspiring leaders and great companies starts with WHY they do what they do, not what product it is you should buy. In the 18 minutes of TED Talk he uses Apple, The Wright brothers and Martin Luther King to demonstrate the example. I can’t help also thinking of a company like Google - the founders mission still holds for Google today - and that’s the WHY - ‘We want to make all information on earth searchable’ - this is not a business model, its not a product - its a big WHY and that’s what we buy into.

Our company - Mindjumpers is part of an entrepreneurial venture called Akasha Venture, the believe of Akasha venture is founded upon Quantum business theory, which (again basically) is about bringing your management and company to an energetic alignment - a state where its not the product - your product is your mission - its your WHY. When you brings your company to a state of energetic alignment people around you will believe in you and your product - not because of what you product or service you sell - but WHY you do it.

Enough talk from me - enjoy Simon’s speech and please leave a comment if this have brought anything to your mind.

Getting inspired by those amazing personal stories

Giedrius Ivanauskas, a great guy working amongst other things with social media out of London, just send me a mail saying, that I should check out an inspiring page on facebook called ‘Inspirisimo’. The text in the little info box says everything ‘Sometimes we all need just a little push to move forward. So feel free to share any inspirational stories, videos or pictures just here on the wall.’

Some of the stories I had heard about before - but I found this one, with a powerful message in the end.
